Homemade Cherry or Vanilla* Kefir – 1 Quart
6 cups raw, homemade kefir
1 1/2 cups raw, grass-fed cream
1/3 cup pureed organic cherries or natural cherry concentrate
1 teaspoon Simply Organic Pure Vanilla Extract
1/4 teaspoon Kal’s pure liquid stevia extract
Pour homemade kefir into a large, glass bowl. Add all other ingredients. Use your blender and slightly whip the top layer of liquid, infusing oxygen into the beverage. Store in the refrigerator in an airtight, quart glass jar. The kefir will continue to ferment and naturally become more effervescent .
*Omit cherries/concentrate and add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.
